I was able to get to the con Friday before noon. I first headed over to the registration line to receive my badge, it went very smoothly, probably waited in line for about 10 minutes. Got prepped and headed to my first panel. It was the DELETER WORKSHOP PANEL. I was very excited for this, and had two of my friends join me. This panel consisted of receiving supplies provided by Deleter, and received lessons on how to use them in various ways by an instructor. This panel featured the NEOPIKO 2. We choose a color from the list, and receive a 3-pack set+Blending marker. We were taught several varieties of blending colors together. Below you can see my efforts, as well as the catalog, and markers. Deleter was in the dealers room so you could purchase the materials as well. I really enjoyed this panel, the instructors were friendly, and informative. I highly recommend this panel if it returns, bring a friend or two and color away!

The rest of the day was spent visiting the dealers hall, artist alley, and capturing shots of the cosplayers walking around- photo’s are below.

Saturday was the big day! Prepped, ate breakfast, and took more cosplayers photo’s. I attended the WHOSE LINE IS IT ANIME PANEL, which was an assorted games that the actual guests of the convention participated in. It was quite entertaining, though at times the jokes were very mature I felt, which for me is not the issue, but the audience is quite young at Sac Anime! Guests who participated were Tara Strong,Troy Baker, Quiton Flynn, and Vic Mignogna. I absolutely love watching Tara Strong she has done a vast amount of characters that it was a real treat to see her do improv with those characters, such as Raven, Harleyquinn, and even Dil pickles!

Later in the evening I attended Sac Anime’s Cosplay Masquerade. In the past i have judged, or done exhibitions, so it was very neat to just sit and enjoy the show! It was smoothly run, and very fun! The Maid cafe did an opening dance routines, followed by the entries, and ended with the dance troupe Angel Hearts. Winners were announced, and the very large MLP skit took home Best in Show! I have to say my favorite costume was the Super Sailor Moon from another skit featuring many SM characters, including the deathbusters, and even Chibi Moon! Later that night after dinner I visited the Sac Anime rave, everyone had lots of energy and it was not a bad crowd, and the DJ’s played great song choices!

All in all, this was my best Sac Anime. It does feel like it’s outgrown the Woodlake hotel even when it first moved there. I hope to return to Sac Anime summer, so until then enjoy the photo’s!
