At Sac-Anime they hold a fashion show for attendee’s to watch. Me and my friend completed our Paradise Kiss costumes in time
and was very fitting of a fashion show pair! We posed to the Anime’s Opening song by Tommy Februray, Lonely in Gorgeous.
And like always i couldn’t help but boogie down before leaving the stage!

Personal thoughts- Paradise kiss is my favorite manga. Like most i could relate myself to Yukari and her struggles to find happiness and where she belongs. This is a variation of her ‘happy berry interview outfit’ from the manga. I had actually made an accurate vest, but didn’t like the look, so I scrapped it and made my own.
Construction details- There’s not much to explain about this outfit cause of it’s simplicity. I scrounged ebay for a argyle fabric, that had some yardages to it, since most only sold amounts for quilting squares! I found one i was happy with and felt represented the manga’s argyle that is used for this outfit. I designed and made my own vest by draping on top of a already made vest. Other than that i added details like the pearl buttons that has rhinestones circling the pearls and sewn them onto the wrists of the cuffs, and also made my own red gem pin, that goes in the middle of my neck bow for extra detail. One of my favorite parts of the costume is the shoes which were bought online, but i do not currently have a nice photo with them in it.
