Personal thoughts- I was addicted to the show, and really loved the outfits and Stocking just seemed like a really fun character to be and she was! This was made when it was still early on and when it was airing in 2010 fall, so i mostly used screencaps as my reference. I have had a huge stock pile of whites, and the perfect sky blues for the accents, and left over laces… this was just going to happen ! I asked my friend PL to watch the show and join me as my Panty, so we coordinated these costumes.
Construction details- Made a mock-up of my dress, and marked where i wanted the intersecting blue panels, silver band across the top of the dress. The dress is lined in itself, and zips in the back. Thigh-highs were made by me, took a long time to do them but There isn’t really a thigh high that looks like Stocking’s! Cincher was taken from a corset pattern, just chopped short of the bust. The cincher laces in the front with grommets and white ribbon. I added extra lace on the center fronts for more detail. Wig was put together by my boyfriend, even now that they’ve massed produced Stocking wigs, I LOVE the way his came out, as well as the colors I picked for her.
