Personal thoughts- The original sailor scout, Sailor V! Being a huge fan Takeuchi’s works, like sailor moon, and sailor V, i had finally wanted to construct my very own fuku! I chose Sailor V, because I adore her very much, and her uniform, and hair was much less intimidating than Sailor moon, so i chose to do manga sailor V
Construction details- *This costume was originally made in 2007, but was heavily updated in 2009, so you will see pics of both the old version, and the newer updated version, floating about!
My boyfriend helped me construct the top, as it’s quite complicated with it’s intersecting panels. A mock-up was made and then marked where we wanted the panels to be. Cut it up and voila patterns! The skirt is a normal pleated skirt, with a hidden zipper on the back. Red bias tape is used along the edges. Shoes were bought then painted. The glasses were also bought and altered, then painted. New wig was purchased for when I updated the costume in 2009. It’s a wonderful cyperous wig!
