Personal thoughts- I love Zone-00’s artwork, and style so much, and my friend was putting together a group, while I’d like to have cos’d mayoko, I chose benten for the sake of not causing doubles, but in the end there was another benten. I still enjoyed the costume as my bf joined me and it was a cute couple cosplay to do.
Construction details- Not much to talk about, but I did make the majority of the costume. I draped to get a pattern for the top, there was no way I was finding a pattern for such a unique top that Benten has. After draping I made the pattern, and sewn together the final one, and lined it in itself. The shorts were made and was actually harder than the top, because I made the shorts too big, so I kept taking it in, and my machine kept skipping stitches on the material. All in all this was probably the easiest costume I’ve ever made.
