Personal thoughts- 2-day costume! For me Sac-anime 2009 was very last minute decision to attend, but to make it more worth it to attend I whipped up a belarus costume to wear with friends since the masquerade had all hetalia staff members! I had little time to make it in, but i managed, and couldn’t be happier with the results.
Construction details- The blue crepe fabric was never used for a previous costume, so I used it for this it was the perfect shade, and weight for her dress. Followed a pattern and sewed the dress up. The apron was a giant beast with yards of navy bias tape sewn down throughout the waist and tails of the apron. I even made my own blue petticoat for this costume as well to give volume, since it looked like a granny dress without it! 2 different laces were used to embellish all the edges, from the cuffs, to the collar, to the hem of the dress.
